Washington State Disability Employment Services

Who: All people with disabilities, including mental health, brain injury, learning disabilities, orthopedic and mobility problems, and developmental disabilities, anyone with barriers from getting or keeping a job, may qualify for services through DVR.

The Community Employment Alliance creates a strong network of Employment Service Providers to serve the employment needs of people with disabilities seeking employment in Washington State through the Washington State Department of Social Health Services (DSHS), Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) or Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). These agencies contract with Community Resource Providers across the state to ensure employment supports are available to people with disabilities seeking employment. 

Who: People born with disabilities or who develop one before age 18 who qualify for institutional level care can “waive” their right to institutionalization and receive long-term community services through the Medicaid Waiver administered by DDA.
